Medical Executive Committee
Most traditional insurance companies staff their operations with layers of business administration. At Doctors Direct Insurance we utilize the in-house expertise of our physician owners.
Our Medical Executive Committee is comprised exclusively of physicians who are principal owners of Doctors Direct Insurance. These highly qualified and respected physicians provide us with a level of expertise most insurance companies cannot afford.
The irony is at Doctors Direct we don't have to employ these experts - they are owners of our company.
The Medical Executive Committee’s responsibilities include:
- Evaluation of applicant and insured physicians
- Analysis of specialty specific claims experience both internally and externally
- Review of current local and national specialty specific risk trends
- Internal peer review mechanism to assist the insured physician and the company in
claims management strategy
- Evaluation of claims against insured physicians for merit and potential liability
- General oversight and direction to the execution of our operational strategy
